| Job Description | The GIS Project Manager performs the following: Project Management * Manage team of GIS and IT professionals * Lead project teams during all phases of the geospatial and application development life cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, test, and deployment * Develop and manage project management plans including deliverables, resources, stakeholders, schedule and budget. * Manage customer relationships and expectations * Work closely with individuals and diverse groups to build successful teams and maintain lasting consensus * Ability to anticipate, plan for and coordinate the actions required to meet the needs of the clients * Manage projects using the groups continuous process improvement methods Proposal Support * Provide technical information and write-ups to support proposal development * Provide level of effort to include work breakdown structure, resources, and hours Opportunities Development * Work with clients to listen and understand their business activities, workflows, and requirements * Determine how geospatial technology or application development can meet those needs and formulate cost-effective solutions * Outreach and build relationships with external and internal AECOM groups to foster work relationships and opportunities Required: * Security Clearance * Self Starter, Motivated * Excellent communicator with staff and leadership * Some Travel required Desired skills: * Knowledge of CMMI * Project Management Professional |
